Bought Some Freeze-Dried Buckets of Food Just In CaseWith Winter rapidly approaching I decided to stock up on some freeze-dried food - just in case we lose power in a snow storm. Luckily Mountain House sells the food that we like in “buckets” that are both better for storage and more cost effective (20% to 30% cheaper than buying the meals individually). The great thing is that if we don’t need this food during the winter we can either use it camping, or we can keep it around the house for another 29 years since they are supposed to have a 30 year shelf life (although keeping it for 30 years seems very unlikely)..
To make sure that we had dinner and breakfast meals in the house I bought both the "Classic" and the "Breakfast" buckets. The Classic bucket has 12 meals:
